New single

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.

Total Confusion is my new single. I hope this will be part of a concept album that will come out next year sometime.

The album is about how I view life. How we are being being controlled by the media, the government, education and science and religion. It will be about what is really going on. How wars are sequenced to bring about The New world order.  The single has been featured on the Mark Dezzani show, on Radio Caroline.

I am on Radio Caroline again on Monday 9th November on the Mark Dezzani program that goes out between 6pm and 9pm. He is playing To My Knees which is a single and also a track from the Treacherous Sea EP..

When I was making it, I was thinking of stuff by The Ojays, The Temptations, that kind of relaxed vibee. Apart from the mastering, everything was done on the iPad.

To My Knees, is available as a digital download at the usual sauces and you can just listen to it on Spotify. Anyway it will be on Mark's show on Monday.

New single

To my knees, is my next single that will be coming out on 9th June.   The single was produced on the iPad except for the mastering. I send all my mixes to Dug Wolfsohn. I feel it's better to have a second pair of ears just to be sure it's ok.

I used an app called Gadget which is a sequencer that allows you to tap in notes, with my nose, in my case,  to form music structures. The voice I got from the Freesound web site that has royalty free samples. I cut these up and put them into a drum sampler, where I pitched them so that they were in tune with the track.

New album

Posted 22/04/2014

I hope to put out an album in the summer. I'm not happy with the material I have. I'm going over old stuff and making that into something that says  something.

The only track that I'm really pleased with is, “Night Dreaming.” My feeling is that if I'm going to promote the dam thing, I need to believe in it. My experience has taut me that you have to make music speak. A musician might be technically good but might not have know how, how to express feeling or emotion. It's like a singer singing a song but doesn't know what it means and so lacks any emotion while singing a song. The result is empty. I like getting into that stuff on that level. I don't want to make a ”lift music." type album.

Interestingly the way I make music is widening. This gives rise to different sounds and textures I can play with, but also needs technical know how, but this isn't a problem with YouTube.

People say I'm a dance producer, well actually I'm not, or want to be. I'm not Going to conform to a format just to get people blindly high. Back in the late sixties when there was a deep cultural, spiritual and sexual revolution but the drug taking then isn't the same as it is today. People got high listening to the words of Bob Dylan, people began to think. But now a days people just get off their faces and nothing is really done about it because it's easier for the government to control people if they are zombified. Don't forget that alcohol is taxed.

One of the unique uses of electronic music is the Minutes album by Alison Moyet. It has a great use of Dubstep, adding to a song about city over crouding. “Changing,” has a cinematic feel to it that totally fits the song. This is what I mean when I say that music has to say something. Another great album was the last release from Bat For Lashes, “The haunted Man,” some of the songs make me run films in my head, and takes over me. So Basically I want to make something like that. Using all kinds of music but keeping it deep and real.

Unstoppables film

Posted 06/02/2014

I had embarked on a music project last year.  I was commissioned to do a score for a film about the Spanish paracyclists training and their taking part in the Olympics.  It was my first time that I'd done a real score.  My main challenge was to get into the film to get inside the characters and create a score that matched and enhanced the atmosphere of the film. Their passion, their determination pushed me extremely hard as I felt we both had something to achieve, and so the film drove my composition.

The film is being shown at major film festivals and it is hoped that tv companies will pick up on the film.  Black train films also made a film about me and this can be found at;

My single is out today and it's called Night Dreaming

I am writing this on the 24/10/2013.  I haven't had time to promote my single.  I've been busy on another project that I cannot talk about.  There is however some amazing news.  I am a huge  and I mean huge fan of Radio Caoline.  I love it's ethos.  I love how it treats music.  Dj's or presenters play what they want and they are paasionate about what they play.  I have a speciffic program that I listen to.  it's become a richual on a Friday night.  Six O.clock Bob Lawrence is on.  I just like the atmospher he createss.

I sent Bob a demo of Night Dreaming about a month ago.  "yeah, I like it Lyn but I was waiting  for a lead to come in, it didn't."  So I added a guitar and sent it back.  "that's better."

Bob has a special part of the program where he plays two relaxng track.  I was just about to suck on my whisky and coke when I heard Night Dreaming.  I couldn't believe it.  It turns out my partner and our personal assistant  knew.  I am always greatful when Dj's play my stuff on Caroline.  A few years a go Tom Lodge played onne of my treacks.  I am very greatful to both.
